Threads 2011 Fashion Show and Atrium Sale

Annita Magee and Sherry Rogers organized the standing room only, Threads 2011 Fashion Show in the Anchorage Museum auditorium. Handwoven garments modeled included evening-wear, wraps and scarves, kimonos, recycled works, partnerships (cloth makers and seamstresses working together), combinations (handwoven with handspun, commercial fabrics or felted portions), accessories (to accompany garments) and even Alaskana (blue tarps and duct tape). intriguing demonstrations
of bobbin lace weaving, loom weaving, spinning and dyeing displays.
